Current Vacancy

We are currently looking for a part-time casual driver based in the Papamoa area who can work on Tuesdays and Thursdays and occasionally on other days in the week.  From June, there is also the likelihood of increased hours on other days up to around 15 - 20 hours per week..

You must have a current clean driving license with P Endorsement (this is absolutely essential, so please do not apply unless you have this). In addition, the ideal applicant will also:

  • Have experience working with people with limited mobility, older people or children
  • Have great people skills and enjoy interacting with clients from all walks of life
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to last minute changes in schedule
  • Be happy to work on a casual basis and able to fill in gaps in their day when not required
  • Be available at least some days of the week between 8am - 10am and 2pm - 4pm

If you meet the criteria outlined above and are available for an immediate start, please email us on info@drivingmissdaisybop.co.nz and tell us why you are interested in the role.

Become a Daisy Driver

We are always happy to hear from people with a current P endorsement and a background in caregiving, or experience working with older people and those with physical or intellectual impairments.

Daisy Drivers take clients to medical appointments and children to school; we help people with their shopping or sometimes simply take clients out for a drive and a coffee. We have a lot of repeat clients and companionship is an important part of the service,  so excellent people skills are essential.

The work is casual with no set hours, but our busiest times are between 8 am and 10am and 2pm and 4pm Monday to Friday, so this will not suit anyone who regularly drives a school bus or is always unavailable during those times. If you are only available on certain days, that's fine - you do not have to be available every day, or all day, but the more flexible you are, the busier you will be.

Our ideal driver will have a background in a caring industry and/or experience working with people in wheelchairs or with disabilities. We have a range of adapted vehicles for which training will be provided.

The nature of the business means that you need to be flexible and not fazed by last minute changes to your schedule.  Common sense and a reasonable degree of physical fitness are also important attributes. .

A full clean driving license with P endorsement is essential - please do not apply unless you currently have, or are going through the process of obtaining, this.

If you are interested in becoming a Daisy Driver, please email your C/V and an outline of the days/times which you are available to info@drivingmissdaisybop.co.nz.
